Multijoueur

Dans GTA San Andreas, vous aviez la possibilté de jouer seulement à 2 joueurs, en mode coopération. GTA IV quand à lui met les bouchés double !
En effet, maintenant vous aurez droit à un réel mode multijoueur, vous pourrez partager votre expérience du jeu avec pas moins de 16 joueurs en online. De longue heures de jeu en perspective !

Informations générales

Le multijoueur a été confirmé par Dan Houser par le biais de GameInformer mais ce ne sera pas un mod online. Ils ont voulus faire quelque chose d'interressant et de sympas.
Il y a en tout 15 modes multijoueur dans GTA IV. PSM a pu en tester 7. Les règles sont déterminées par l'hôte.
Il sera possible d'être jusqu'à 16 joueurs sur le multijoueur (sur PS3 et Xbox 360, pour PC c'est 32).
Votre personnage multijoueur est complètement personnalisable, en passant pas le changement de race, de sexe, de cheveux, d'habillement, etc. Il sera aussi possible de mettre des lunettes de soleil ou non.
Un mode multijoueur en promenade libre serait disponible: "On pourra s'en servir comme lieu de rencontre. On s'installe dans un véhicule, on conduit et on écoute de la musique"
Si vous avez aimé les modes multijoueur de San Andreas, alors vous devriez être contents avec GTA IV.
Aucun mode 2 joueurs coopératif ne sera disponible dans le jeu, tout simplement parce que l'option n'allait pas bien avec l'histoire.
Le lancement du mode multijoueur se fait en solo avec un menu déroulant. De la même façon que le jeu Burnout Paradise.
Celui qui crée le serveur peut régler l'heure de la journée mais aussi, le type de véhicule (surtout pour GTA Race), le type d'armes, le trafic, le lieu où se déroule le match avec des zones prédéfinies et l'intervention de la police ou non.
Plus vous avancez dans le jeu, plus il sera possible de modifier son personnage pour le multijoueur.
Le mode multijoueur est visuellement similaire au mode solo.
Vous pouvez entièrement modifier votre personnage (Dans le mode multi). Vous pouvez ainsi créer votre personnage unique et original.
Il n'y aucune restriction au niveau des possibilités de jeu !
Vous pouvez tout configurer, de A à Z, votre partie multi.
Vous pourrez vêtir votre personnage multi des tenues gagnés en solo.
Vous pourrez choisir : le lieu, la durée du jeu, le tir ami, visée auto, armes, traffic, piétons, flics, les stations de radios, le temps, l'heure de la journée, l'alarme (?), distance de réaparition, laps de temps avant réaparition.

Hangman's NOOSE

Description : Une mission faisant partie du jeu solo mais que l'on peut jouer en coopératif avec un ami. Vous devez escorter un mafieux avec le SWAT aux fesses.

Cops n Crooks

Description : Pour jouer aux gendarmes et aux voleurs. Une équipe joue la police, l'autre les bandits. Les uns doivent attraper, les autres s'enfuir. Les forces de l'ordre pourront connaître la position des malfrats grâce à leur GPS tandis que les bandits ne pourront jamais savoir où se trouve la police.
